Great Britain Trampoline Squad train in Northampton | | |
 | | Saturday the 16th February saw the arrival of the Great Britain senior trampoline squad in Northampton for an intensive training squad held over four days. The trampoline gymnasts were as follows James Higgins, Steven Walsh, Jack Helme, Luke Rendell, Michael Freemen, Andrew Freeman, Laura Gallagher, Stacey Dann, Jaime Moore, Claire Wright, Katherine Driscoll, Yasmin Gumbs, Cara Jamieson and Emma Smith.
The training camp got underway at the Northampton Academy Sports College where Drew Allison, Associate Principal at the college put the gymnasts through their paces with an intensive aerobic dance mat session. |
The coaches were supported by the English Institute of Sport (EIS) with the delivery of a theory session on training programmes. Support staff for the camp included Jack Kelly (British Gymnastics), Rebecca Edginton (British Gymnastics), Dennis Edwards (Performance Impact), Peter Smyth (EIS), Mhairi Keil (EIS) and Jamie Salter (EIS) who all provided expertise in specialist areas.

 | The accommodation was at the Kings Park Conference Centre, a great location with excellent staff that provided superb service and food throughout the 4 day visit.
The trampoline sessions took place at the world class facility of the Northampton Trampoline Centre, home of Northamptonshire Trampoline Gymnastics Academy. Training was intense and led by each personal coach; Jay Scouler, Sue Bramble, Nigel Rendell, Sarah Silvester, Olivia Sorbie, Bill Leach and Tracy Whittaker-Smith. | | |
| | | Virgin Active gym in Northampton was the perfect place for the much needed and well earned regeneration and recovery session on the Monday evening. Appreciation and thanks go to Matt Lunn, Virgin Active Area Manager who kindly organised the use of pool and spa area for all the gymnasts to aid their recovery. |  | | |
